About the department

The department began its history in 1977.

As part of its educational activities, the department trains specialists in the following areas:

• informatics and computer science;
• instrument making;
• electrical power engineering and electrical engineering.

The main directions of scientific and applied activities of the department include:

• development of intelligent devices and software and hardware systems based on them;
• development and application of artificial intelligence technologies;
• information technologies, including networks, open systems, multimedia, etc.;
• development of application and system software;
• microprocessor and microcontroller technology;
• development of components for electronic devices based on oxide technologies;
• automation of physical experiment.
